Information about the V42

The Alrena precision macerator is a cutting macerator with unique precision in slurry distribution. The patented air flow system, combined with the rotor and various cutting plate configurations, ensures highly precise slurry distribution for both large and small application quantities. The rotor and cutting plates can be easily converted into different configurations, allowing a wide range of application rates to be achieved with the same machine.

The Alrena macerator features a 5” inlet without constrictions, ensuring optimal slurry flow and making the distributor suitable for high-capacity spreading. Depending on the configuration, the macerator can also be supplied with an optional top-mounted slurry inlet, providing additional flexibility in machine integration and installation.

Due to the low hydraulic power requirement of only 35 L/min and the compact design, the macerator can be easily mounted on various agricultural machines. When running dry, almost no temperature increase occurs within this specially developed macerator, resulting in minimal wear.

Rotating cutting system

The basis of the Alrena precision macerator is a specially developed cutting system with rotating round knives. Due to different pivot points and the resistance of the solid parts to be cut in the slurry, the knives keep rotating constantly. This constant rotation of the cutting discs ensures that each cut is performed witha new piece of knife, thus significantly reducing wear. In addition, the rotating movement has the advantage that the cutting discs are self-sharpening. This extends the service life of the wear parts. A coil spring ensures an even blade force.

The inside of the macerator head consists of a rotor and two hole disks with 21 outlets on each side. Alrena has several rotors and hole discs to adjust the capacity of the precision macerator. As standard, a precision macerator is equipped with a 6-knife rotor (R6) on both sides and a standard G5 hole disc. You can ask Alrena for exactly the right configuration when the capacity needs to be very small or large.
